TransformOrBanish

🔥 **Tired of useless card rewards ruining your gaming experience? **

You open a reward interface...

What comes into view are cards that you **don't want**, **need**, and **will never take**.

✨ **TransformOrBanish** ✨

This mod adds two powerful options to every card reward screen, of course, at a price:

🟢 **Conversion**

Pay gold coins to recast a card into another random card of the same rarity.

🔴 **Exile**

Pay gold to remove a card from the current rewards and **blacklist** it for this game so that it does not appear again.

---

💡 **Why use this mod instead of DynamicCardRewards? **

The goal of this mod is to provide a **different way of thinking**.

Instead of overwhelming you with tons of perks and options, it gives you the ability to turn bad reward choices into good ones, for a price, of course.

You still choose 1 of the 3 options on the rewards screen as usual.

But now, if a card is useless to your build, you can:

  • Recast it into something better
  • Or **Exile** it so it doesn't appear again in this game

---

💰 **FEES**

**Conversion** cost depends on card rarity:

  • **Normal Card**: 25 gold coins
  • **Rare Card**: 60 gold coins
  • **Rare Card**: 130 gold coins

The **Exile** cost will **increase** with the number of times you use it in this game:

  • 1st-3rd times: 10 gold coins
  • 4th-6th time: 15 gold coins
  • 7th-10th time: 20 gold coins
  • 11th-13th time: 25 gold coins
  • 14th time and above: 30 gold coins

---

🛠️ **Installation**

  • Go to your game installation directory:

`STEAM\steamapps\common\Slay the Spire 2\`

  • Create a folder called `mods` if you don’t already have one.
  • Extract the downloaded `TransformOrBanish` folder into the `mods` folder.
  • At the same time, please make sure you have installed the `BaseLib` library (if it has not been installed before, you also need to extract it to the `mods` folder).
  • Start the game.

🎮 Usage suggestions and experiences

This mod adds **strategic depth** and **risk-reward** considerations to the card building process in Slay the Spire 2.

  • **Early Planning**: In the early stage of the game, you can banish cards that completely conflict with your core ideas at a low cost to "purify" the environment for the subsequent reward pool.
  • **Gamble at critical moments**: When your deck is in urgent need of a key card, the transformation function gives you a chance to "take a chance". Although it is expensive, it may turn the tide of the battle.
  • **Resource Management**: You need to carefully weigh the use of gold coins. Should you keep buying powerful relics and potions in the store, or invest in the "optimization" of the reward interface?

With **TransformOrBanish**, every card reward is no longer pure luck, but a **strategic decision point** that you can influence. Good luck, wise steeple climber!

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
