(v0.2.0 Pokédex update) Track cards, relics, and ancient data across all your game rounds and display them as tooltips.

SlayTheStats

📊 **Your personal data assistant for Slay the Spire 2! ** This module can deeply analyze your game history, allowing you to better understand your decision-making patterns and winning rates.

✨ Core Functions

SlayTheStats will retroactively read your complete game history. Statistics are updated when you complete a round or start the game, and abandoned rounds are skipped.

  • **Pick% (Pick%)** - How often you pick a card when it appears as a combat reward.
  • **Win% (Win%)** – How often you win in rounds that contain a certain card or relic.
  • **Run Statistics (Runs)** - Displayed as a fraction (e.g. 12/30). The numerator is the number of rounds the card appears in your final deck, and the denominator is the number of rounds the card appears as a combat reward. For relics, only the number of rounds it existed is shown. The data is broken down by the "tier" you first acquired the card.
  • **Purchase Statistics (Buys)** - For colorless cards and relics: Shown as the round you purchased the item from the store / the round the item appeared in the store (e.g. 12/30).

These statistics are displayed as tooltips when you hover over cards and relics during gameplay, in the store, and in the Pokédex.

🎨 Intuitive color coding

Color coding helps you read data at a glance:

  • **Pick Rate and Win Rate** are colored based on your personal baseline. Your baseline is the average win rate and pick rate for that character's combat rewards.
  • Color intensity is sensitive to both sample size and bias, so a high win rate in a few rounds may be as significant as a moderately high win rate in many rounds.

🛠️ Installation requirements

  • Install **GUMM (Godot Universal Mod Manager)** for Slay the Spire 2:
  • **BaseLib v0.2.5 or higher**:

📥 Installation steps

  • If it is not already installed, first install GUMM for STS2.
  • If not already installed, download and unzip BaseLib (v0.2.5 or higher) to your mods folder.
  • Download `SlayTheStats-vX.X.X.zip` from the Files tab and extract it to your mods folder. You should end up with a `SlayTheStats/` folder inside `mods/`, which contains `SlayTheStats.dll`, `SlayTheStats.json`, `SlayTheStats.pck` and a `fonts/` subfolder.

🔍 Picture Book Filter

Open the in-game Pokédex (card library or relic collection) and click the SlayTheStats button in the sidebar to open the filter panel. This panel allows you to adjust which rounds of data are included in the statistics:

  • **Advanced Level Range** - Only displays data within a specific advanced level range (e.g. A5+).
  • **Game version range** - Restricted to specific game versions.
  • **Game Archives** - Limit to a single archive, or aggregate data from all archives.
  • **Occupation** - "All", "Match card occupation" (use the occupation to which it belongs for occupation cards, use all occupations for colorless/cursed cards), or filter to a specific role.
  • **Merged Card Upgrades** - Combine upgrade variants (e.g. Strike+ counts towards Strike) or track them separately.

Active filters are highlighted in green, letting you know exactly which settings differ from your defaults. There are three operation buttons at the bottom of the panel:

  • **Clear Filters** - Remove all filters
  • **RESET** - Revert to saved defaults
  • **Save as Defaults** - Persist current settings as your new defaults. During gameplay, your default values will always be used.

📝 IMPORTANT NOTE

  • **Pick rate** is derived from combat rewards only. Store purchases, event cards, and other sources do not count.
  • **Win Rate** Counts all rounds in which this card or relic appeared in your final build, regardless of source.
  • **STORE PURCHASE**: For colorless cards and relics, the tooltip shows how often you buy an item relative to how often it appears in the store, and the color is relative to your overall store purchase rate. Note that …

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
