⚠️ IMPORTANT NOTE: ABOUT GAME SAVES
Using any mod will separate your save files into separate "Unmodded" and "Modded" folders, so your existing game progress will not automatically appear in the modded game.
**Before installing the mod, please be sure to back up your game saves! **
- **Unmodulated save path**: `%APPDATA%\SlayTheSpire2\steam\STEAM_ID\profile1\saves\`
- **Modified save path**: `%APPDATA%\SlayTheSpire2\steam\STEAM_ID\modded\profile1\saves\`
**Quick Access**: Press `Windows Key + R` and paste the path: `%APPDATA%\SlayTheSpire2\steam\`
**If you want to continue your current progress in a modded game**: Please **copy** the save from the "Unmodded" folder to the "Modded" folder.
**If you want to keep a single shared save**: You can use the optional **UnifiedSavePath** module. It unifies the save directory so that modded games and the original game use the same save files.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
