About this mod Machine translation
Pressing the F5 key immediately restarts the current battle or event from the beginning, restoring your deck, health, and relics to the state they were in when you entered the room.
Quick Restart
🎮 **Press `F5` to instantly restart the current battle or event! ** All your status (deck, health, relics, gold coins, potions) will be restored to what it was when you entered the room.
---
✨ Core Functions
- **One-click restart** — Press `F5` at any time during a battle or event to take effect.
- **Full State Restoration** — Deck, health, relics, coins, and potions are all reset to the state they were in when entering the room.
- **Smooth Transition** — The visual effect of fading in and out is as smooth as an ordinary scene switch.
- **WORRY-SAFE** - Reloading via the game's own auto-save system will not damage your saves.
🔧 How it works
The game automatically saves your state as you enter each room. What the **Quick Restart** mod does is simply reload that save, which is equivalent to completing a "Save and Exit → Continue" cycle instantly without returning to the main menu.
📥 Installation Guide
- Unzip the compressed package into the game's `mods/` folder (for example: `Steam\steamapps\common\Slay the Spire 2\mods\`).
- Make sure that the `mods` folder contains the files `QuickRestart.dll` and `QuickRestart.pck`.
- Launch the game and click "Yes" when asked whether to load the mod.
🔗 Compatibility Notes
- ✅ Works with the game's native mod loading system — **No external mod loader required**.
- ✅ Compatible with all other mods.
- 💡 **Recommended**: Use with the **UnifiedSavePath** mod to preserve your game progress while playing the mod.
⚠️ IMPORTANT NOTE
- The `F5` function only works while the game is in progress (i.e. an adventure is running). It will not be triggered during menu interface, map interface or scene transition.
- Currently only tested on **Windows** and **Single Player Mode**.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
