CustomRunsUnlock allows you to unlock upgrades, epochs, and achievements in custom and daily challenge modes.

CustomRunsUnlock

🎮 **Allows you to advance in the game through customization and daily challenges! **

Pay attention to the relic at the top, confirm that the mode is Daily Challenge and the upgrade level is 1. After victory, the epoch is unlocked and the next promotion level becomes 2.

✨ Mod Overview

Just like in the game's early beta, you can now enjoy customization and daily challenge modes without worrying about wasting a single play session to advance your character stats, timeline, or upgrade levels.

Used in conjunction with the recommended mods below, custom challenges can have all the features of standard mode:

  • **NeowAlwaysRewards** - Another mod of mine
  • **UnifiedSavePath** - A much loved mod by luojies

---

🚀 Function overview

Daily Challenges and Custom Challenges will receive all the features of Standard Mode:

  • ✅ Unlock epochs in the timeline
  • ✅ Unlock achievements
  • ✅ Unlock upgrade levels
  • ✅ Track winning/losing streak records
  • ✅ Update card statistics
  • ✅ Updated ancient statistics
  • ✅Support multiplayer games
  • ✅ Removed disclaimer in customization and daily challenge interface

---

🔧 How it works

This module uses the Harmony library to modify the game code:

  • Modify the `UpdateWithRunData` method in `ProgressSaveManager` using the Harmony prefix so that its `serializableRun` property uses `GameMode.Standard`.
  • Use the Harmony suffix to set `GameMode` back to its pre-modified state.
  • Replace the `AreAchievementsAndEpochsLocked` method in `GameModeExtension` with the Harmony prefix so that it always returns `false`.
  • Remove disclaimer nodes in `NCustomRunScreen` and `NDailyRunScreen` using prefix.

---

📂 Installation Guide

Place the module files in the following directory:

```
Slay the Spire 2/
mods/
CustomRunsUnlock/
CustomRunsUnlock.dll
CustomRunsUnlock.pck
CustomRunsUnlock.json
```

🔮 Future Plans

  • Monitor patch load order interactions with other related modules
  • Add explicit Harmony loading order if needed
  • Removed the warning that "Daily challenges and custom challenges do not count towards game progress"

🛠️ Development Notes

*I followed Alchyr's guide, using JellyBeans Rider and adapted their templates.

  • I created a `Claude.md` file for working with the AI on Slay the Spire 2 mods.
  • I asked JellyBean Rider to create the solution by opening the `.csproj` file.
  • Please make sure to edit the `.csproj` file to set your Slay the Spire 2 game path and Megadot installation location.

**I wish you a happy game and continue to climb higher levels in customized challenges! ** 🏆

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
