Clearer Chinese fonts
🎯 **Enable the same MSDF rendering path for the Chinese fonts of "Slay the Spire 2" as the English UI, improving the clarity and sharpness of Chinese text at high resolutions such as 4K. **
---
🔧 What problem does this Mod solve?
In the current version of the game, the English UI main font and the Chinese replacement font use different rendering configurations:
- **English Main UI Font** `MSDF` (Multi-channel Directed Distance Field) rendering enabled.
- **Chinese `zhs` replacement font** does not enable `MSDF`.
This difference is the main reason why English text is generally sharper at high resolutions, while Chinese text is more likely to appear blurry.
This Mod will correct the rendering parameters of Chinese font resources at runtime, and refresh existing controls after language switching, so that the Chinese fonts can be as close to the clarity of the English UI as possible.
---
✨ Features
- **Accurate Effectiveness**: Only effective for Simplified Chinese `zhs` font replacement path.
- **Enable MSDF**: Enable `MSDF` rendering for Chinese fonts at runtime.
- **Keep it as is**: Keep the original localization process and text content of the game without modification.
- **Instant refresh**: Perform font refresh on displayed controls to reduce display inconsistencies after switching languages.
---
📦 Installation method
Simply place the following files into your game's `mods` directory:
- `St24kFontFix.dll`
- `St24kFontFix.pck`
---
💡 **Usage Suggestions**: After installation, it is recommended to switch the language once in the game (such as switching from Chinese to English and back to Chinese) to ensure that all interface texts can correctly apply the new rendering effect and obtain the best visual experience!

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
