Better Sovereign Blade

✨ **Better Monarch's Blade** Enhanced interactivity, visual feedback, and customization options for the Regent Monarch's Blade, transforming it from a passive effect into a responsive, player-controllable combat element.

---

🎯 Core improvements

This mod focuses on three core improvements:

  • **Direct Control**: You can control the blade with your own hands.
  • **Clear Target Feedback**: Clear indication of attack target.
  • **Full Visual Customization**: Change the look of your blade however you want.

📖 Overview

The original Monarch's Blade had a strong concept but limited interactivity.

This mod extends the design of the blade by turning it into a controllable entity. The blade is no longer a static visual effect, but can dynamically respond to player input and clearly convey attack intentions.

Additionally, the mod introduces a flexible color customization system that allows you to personalize the look and effect of your blade.

✨ Features

🖱️ Drag the blade

You can drag the Lord's Blade directly onto the battlefield.

  • Freely reposition the blade with the mouse.
  • Create a sense of physical control reality.
  • Make the blade feel like a real weapon, not just a visual effect.

🎯 Floating Target Indicator

When picking up the Lord's Blade card:

  • The blade will float above the enemy.
  • Automatically aim at the current target.

This provides immediate and intuitive targeting feedback into combat.

🎮 Drag to the target and shoot

When the card can be played:

  • Drag the blade itself, not the card.
  • Move it to a specific enemy.
  • Release the mouse to play the card.

This creates a more immersive and direct aiming experience compared to the default system.

🎨 Customize blade color (new feature)

You can fully customize the visual appearance of your blade:

  • Choose from preset color themes.
  • Or manually adjust the color of each component.
  • Scope of impact includes:

*Blade model appearance.

  • Slashing/energy effects.

This allows you to customize the visual style of the blade to your liking, from subtle changes to a completely unique look.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
