About this mod Machine translation
Zaria's human armor-piercing devices, the Mer and the Khajiit (nose ring, nose-to-ear chain, earring), can be crafted from silver and gold respectively, or from basic jewelry pieces instead of spindles. Now compatible with the unofficial Skyrim Legend Edition patch. Also includes optional texture reduction.
Require, install, uninstall
=========================================
No requirements, although these may not fit all head models. While this is intentionally USLEP compatible, the patch is not required. No changes will be made from the original mod or retex.
Delete the original version of Zaria's Piercings and retexture it if you have one, including Zarias_Pericings1.bsa and Zarias_Pericings1.esp. Unless you're using an older version, it's actually Zaria's Piercings 2, just with an incorrect name. Actually, you don't need to find the texture files added by DubstepKid Retex because we will overwrite them.
Now just install the mod normally either manually or via your favorite Mod Manager. This version does not have the BSA files, but the original content has been extracted and edited.
Afterwards, if you want to reduce the size of your textures, drag and drop the other Textures folders containing them into the Data folder and let them merge; it will overwrite the affected textures.
If you install using the Mod Manager, you'll get larger textures and vanilla-style crafting (using the entire ingot) by default. Compressed textures and the "Jewel from Base" option are installed manually after the main installation.
Uninstall: Simply delete the files included with this mod; none of them are original resources, nor are they required by other mods (as far as I know). Warning: It is not safe to delete Gear mods mid-game. It's best to revert to a save game from before the mod was added. If you insist on doing this, remove all items from this mod and all followers in your inventory; perhaps dump them into a random bucket. Leave the cell, preferably alone, and go to an unoccupied cell, such as a basement. save. Exit the game. Restart the game, load the save, and save again. Exit and restart again. Load the second save and continue. This is called the save cleanup routine. It's not foolproof, but it generally works for simple mods without complex scripts.
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
