About this mod Machine translation
This is an "alternative start" mod where you try to cross Skyrim's borders to start the main quest... but then you walk into something you didn't expect.
In order for this mod to work as expected, you need to (obviously) create a new save... with a little tweaking (see this UESP page for more information).
1.Install this mod
- Go to Skyrim.ini (the one in ../Documents/My Games/Skyrim).
- In the [General] section, add the following lines
SStartingCell = HelgenExterior
You can change HelgenExterior to any cell you want. This will be the starting cell for the new save.
- Open the game. You'll notice that it jumps right into the game without selecting new game options, which also prevents the main mission from starting.
- Save and enjoy your alternative journey. (SStartingCell =.... can now be removed from Skyrim.ini.)
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
