About this mod Machine translation
Repurposing and adapting the Hearthfire DLC Windstad Manor as a player-owned inn and Windstad Cellar as a player suitable for vampire/necromancer/evil-oriented characters.
Redesign and revamp Windstad Manor as a player-owned inn and Windstad Cellar as a player suitable for vampire/necromancer/evil-oriented characters. Two independent add-ons: the first transforms the interior and exterior of the estate, the second changes the basement.
Why a hotel, you ask. Who would visit in the middle of snow?
First, because I needed a place to shop close to home that would provide a steady income and "food" for my vampire character. As for the guests, they come...for the exquisite fish cuisine, the unconventional bard or because of the proximity to Solitude, the accommodation leaves a lot to be desired. Once they're here, they won't leave unless you dump them in the snow. Secondly, because I think HF families show so little love and Bethesda makes them so dull, unrealistic and flawed by imitators that they like the plague, players avoid them for the sake of all of the above.
WINDSTAD INN
feature:
internal
Cake shop/breakfast room, dining room, kitchen, 7 bedrooms (13 beds)
Lively atmosphere: 30+ new dialogue scenes (combined from vanilla dialogue), tavern music and sounds, idle markers and custom furniture
Featured decoration
9 new NPCs with complex behavior, 5 of them are traders (all 15000+ septims together with the main trader). They are all essential, don’t worry about them dying:
Kari - tavern wench, selling sweets and drinks (some of which are unique/quest items),
Sonje - cook, Kari’s mother, buys firewood,
Teafortwo - Bar owner and Sonir's lover, selling a variety of cooked food and drinks (some of which are unique/quest items),
Seras Hledri - Bookseller. In addition to regular books, all are sold randomly and cannot be found in vanilla,
Qa'Dar - Khajiit caravan guard, fence-purchased spell book (once you complete the quest "Send moon sugar to Ri'saad"), lockpicking expert trainer,
Shaba - caravanner, wife of Qa'Dar,
Annabelle Previa - Lady of Breton,
Velus Previa - drunken royal nobleman, husband of Annabelle,
Cassius Valerius - Imperial soldier, bodyguard of Previas.
Bard changes: facelift, new clothes, new AI suit (she will sleep in the east wing on the first floor)
Small changes to Housecarl (will share a Western-style bedroom on the first floor with the housekeeper)
Specific functions of the inn: income cabinet, inn management ledger, dynamic food on the table
- Hire employees: 3500 gold for chefs, tavern and bar owners. They will be present the next time you visit the hotel and will sleep in the north and east wing rooms on the first floor.
- Open the hotel: the first three guests will come: the bookseller and the Khajiit couple. They will occupy the west and east wings on the second floor.
- Extend the number of guests: The next three NPCs will appear: the noble couple and their guard. They will sleep in the main hall bedroom on the second floor.
- Reduce the number of guests: the last three guests will leave.
- Close the hotel: the bookseller and the Khajiit couple will leave.
- Firefighters: Chefs, bistro and bar owners will be at your service.
-The general ledger is located in the Main Hall, Xiaba (see picture). By activating it, the following inn management options are available:
Inns can be used as designed, with all new NPCs present, one-third or two-thirds, or none at all (if you want it to be the basis for your followers). While I don't think there's a good reason for kids to live in a hotel, the relocation options are still the same as in vanilla - they'll occupy the main hall room on the second floor, so you'll have to evacuate the checked-in guests there first (*see also instructions).
- The income cabinet is located next to the ledger. Income will be calculated daily based on the number of people present (75-90 gold/day/guest) and automatically added to the chest.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
