About this mod Machine translation
Complete a basic lore quest in High Hrothgar, where players find Arngeir's secret journal, which points to all word walls in Skyrim. Each diary you find is associated with a hold, and there are word walls within each hold.
describe
This is a lore-friendly quest that helps characters find word walls around Skyrim in a simple yet tedious way. This quest is a good and immersive starting point as players are welcomed by Greybeard and given the Horns of Jurgen Windcaller. From this point in the game, it makes the most sense to start this quest.
How to start a task
Starting this quest is simple, the player is exploring High Hrothgar when he/she finds the musical note on the shelf where Greybeard sleeps. From that point on, players will search for 9 journals in High Hrothgar based on Skyrim's 9 Keeps.
my reasons
In each journal, there are images that I messed up in photoshop to make them look hand-drawn. The reason I did this is because I wanted Arngeir to look like he drew these images from his mind. As he meditated, he heard words from the sky. So I wanted him to look like he not only heard the Word, but saw the source of the Word. Additionally, each log has a lore-friendly description of each location. Where they are located, whether the location is blocked (query), etc. So if anyone plays Skyrim this way, every location in the reading diary is probably RP-ish. Once the player opens the diary, the locations will update on the map, but you will not be able to fast travel to these locations.
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
