About this mod Machine translation
A mod based on Small and Small Campfire: Discover and/or craft non-alcoholic and alcoholic drinks around the world.
This is a small mod I personally made, played with for a long time and decided to share because why not. Requires Campfire and DLC.
The SSE conversion by kfroguar can be found here.
Ever wonder if there are non-alcoholic drinks that are killer friendly? What else can people drink to keep warm on a normal day?
Now it’s time for some tea (or coffee).
There are different types of tea made from different mountain flowers: blue, red and purple.
Coffee can be made from elf ears.
Dragonborn Support: Made it easier to find Gray Tea made from ingredients on Solstheim (Grey Creep Cluster and Tramagen).
Mix tea or coffee with honey, milk, lavender or frosty flavor. Or just add some coffee to your morning cup of coffee.
There is an extra sweetened drink with more honey than tea, and there are several ways to make a hot drink with wine, beer, or mead by adding herbs and berries.
There is also a special tea that many people find bitter, but which may help your voice.
I tried to make the effects and names more or less lore-friendly and appropriate for Requiem. There is only one drinkable drink that directly restores health, and it does so for a reason (all drinks are based on real-life examples).
To start making drinks, you can create a teapot (from a forged teapot) using a "rusty old teapot" (which can be purchased from a pawnbroker (e.g. Belethor) or found in a container with junk, I sometimes find them in boxes from Dynamic Things - Woodpiles and Barrels) and two corundum inner tanks.
You can place the teapot anywhere.
In addition to adding these drinks, I also made minor changes to the existing drinks:
Riften specialties are now truly special and expensive, with unique, potent and equally dangerous effects. They are no longer in the "potions" section, they are legal drinks.
Other than that, the original record is unchanged, so compatibility should be good.
It seems like Legacy of the Dragon (and I assume other mods) will easily override these changes, so make your own choice: the last mod loaded takes precedence. Other functions are not affected at all.
All drinks can be found in defeated enemies, in stores, in supplies from traveling merchants, in someone's pockets... basically anywhere you'd expect.
As of 1.1, there are no changes to vanilla drinks.
If you use other mods that add items to balanced lists, it's best to make a Bashed patch.
In Deithwen-Family Edition 2.0 I added two options for making drinks for this mod in the house kitchen (with or without extras, not so killer ingredients). Check it out if you want to settle down.
Requiem 2.0 introduced it's own consumptive water, so I made a small patch (now to create boiling water you need Requiem's bottled water). You can run them without patches, it just makes things more difficult, lol.
For detailed recipes and effects, please check the 'Pictures' section. Note that in Requiem, drinks are subject to food rules like other foods and can only be used in combat (although not special, their price makes it more balanced).
Boiling water does restore a bit of stamina, but it doesn't show up in the menu (this usually happens when the value is less than 1).
Also added an unedited miscellaneous file for the vanilla Riften album (Esp only, overwrites the main file). Don't install it on a save file that already has the edited version installed, that sounds like a bad idea.
A campfire is required.
Anti-frost support: Drinks can restore your body temperature. All the teas are cool and refreshing except the summer tea.
Compatible with Ineed: Just register your drink in the game.
Compatible with Realistic Needs and Diseases 2.0: Just use the food custom hotkey to register a drink in the game.
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
