Visual replacer for Vilja in Skyrim.
Vilja has stood the test of time and become one of the best follower mods ever created.
Emma has truly created a masterpiece in immersion, design and voice acting.
I wanted to put my own spin on her appearance.
Of course, this mod requires Vilja from Skyrim.
I gave her a custom face, a separate body using UNPC's bodyslide preset, and separate textures.
I don't plan on doing anything with CBBE as I don't use it, but swapping out the mesh manually is easy and I can explain the process if needed. Since the plugin must be edited in order to assign custom assets to her, if an update is made to Vilja, the mod will need to be hidden until an update for the current version can be released.
Future plans:
I'm planning on overhauling Vilja's entire home and updating them one at a time once completed.
In-game updates are always safe as only loose meshes and textures are affected.
Install:
First, install Vilja, then with an administrator of your choice, download my replacement and make it cover everything asked for, including plugins.
(I don't recommend you to install anything manually)
uninstall:
My module only contains loose files related to Vilja's appearance. Just uninstall with the manager of your choice.
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
