True Nordic Trolls

This is a reimagining of the classic Arena troll model, making Skyrim's ape-like trolls look more like the original trolls of Scandinavian folklore.

So, as a Norwegian playing an American game with Nordic culture, what annoys me most about this game? Horned helmet? Fake accent? In fact, there are many male Nordic NPCs with female Scandinavian names?

No, this is a troll. This damn weird Hollywood troll has almost nothing in common with their folklore origins. If you showed Skyrim's three-eyed gorillas to anyone from the Nordic countries, they wouldn't recognize them as trolls, which annoyed me for a while.

So, Norway is known as the "Land of Trolls", trolls are very important in our culture and the tacky looking giant figurines are our most common souvenirs, so I thought it was my duty to mold these trolls into something more worthy. the name.

Understandably, those who are not from Scandinavia tend to get the wrong idea when hearing that trolls are incredibly changeable creatures in terms of appearance. While trolls may be big or small, ugly or beautiful, stupid or wise, have five heads or just one, there are still some very strict rules that dictate what a troll is and isn't. All trolls in Scandinavian folklore are depicted as covered in vegetation, and they always have large noses and large ears. Now, these snouts can be pointed or broad, and their ears can stand up like bunny ears or hang down like different bunny ears, but all trolls have both of these characteristics.
