About this mod Machine translation

Almost all NPCs can train you in a variety of different skills and at different levels, with the option to replace the vanilla leveling system with a pure training-based system.

tl; dr

In fact, all NPCs are now trainers and can train you at different levels in various skills.

There is no cap on the frequency of training at each level, and you can choose to turn off the "training only" system for basic skill levels.

MCM allows players to adjust training costs and level caps for different coaches.

Seamlessly inserts into vanilla Skyrim using existing dialogue.

Compatible with everything.

summary

Who can train you?

All humanoid NPCs, with the following exceptions: NPCs with unique voices (such as Delphine), children, and generic guards. In the first two cases, this is because they lack relevant dialogue channels. In the latter case, it's because there are so many guards that it feels weird to be able to ask them to train you. Although even if you are in a dangerous environment (for example, a dungeon (including the wild section near the entrance to the dungeon)) or break into it, your NPC will not do this even if you want to train it.

What can they train you for?

NPCs can train you in a variety of skills, usually between 4 and 6. The training skills they offer depend on their class. Some NPCs are placed in odd categories (for example, huntress Aela is considered a thief), so in those cases I assigned them custom skills to train you on. When you ask an NPC to train you, a notification will tell you what class they are in to help you figure out the system (if you don't want this notification, you can turn it off in the MCM).

How often do they train you?

Whatever you want. Trainer Galore allows you to completely replace the original train-by-skill system with a train-by-skill system, so there is no limit on training frequency. To turn off the normal skill upgrade system, you will need to use another mod (see the installation section below).

What level can they train you to?

A trainer's proficiency level determines the level they can train you to, and there are four different proficiency levels for trainers: Apprentice, Skilled, Expert, and Master. Although these values are configurable in the MCM, they correspond to training limits for skill levels 25, 50, 75, and 999. Trainers have varying proficiencies in the different skills in which they provide training, so a skilled master may be proficient in only two hands.

Example

Category: Farmer

Skills: Two Hands (Proficient), Alchemy (Proficient), Archery (Apprentice), Sneak Attack (Apprentice)

Farmers have little use except for the skills that serve them in daily life. That said, their low proficiency level makes them cheaper than high-level trainers (see below for more cost information).

Occupation: Imperial Soldier

Skills: Blocking (Master), One Hand (Expert), Heavy Armor (Expert), Two Hands (Proficient), Light Armor (Proficient), Archery (Proficient).

Imperial soldiers are versatile and well-trained, but focused on defensive skills.

Occupation: Magician

Skills: Specialization (Master), Enchantment (Expert), Alteration (Proficient), Destruction (Proficient).

Magicians are skilled at controlling magical forces and bending them to their will.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
