About this mod Machine translation

Description:

This mod adds a system that records and analyzes the player's movements and interactions in order to classify him into one of several archetypes, providing him with new content in the form of quests based on his abilities.

This is the result of a machine learning algorithm developed by the mod's creators and incorporated into Skyrim to classify players based on their actions and interactions with the virtual world as one of the prototypes of Bartle's taxonomy.

One of the goals of this work is to prove that the player modeling system is a beneficial and popular feature of RPGs, and that players prefer a personalized experience to the average player.

The system implemented in the mod consists of a decision tree that is run periodically to analyze recent player behavior and assign player types and categories.

Player types are:

Achievers - Achievers are interested in the competition in the world. Assign game-related goals and work toward achieving them.

Explorer - Explorer loves interacting with WORLD. They rejoiced in their discovery.

Socializer - Socializers are interested in interacting with other players/NPCS. They spend a lot of time chatting and trading.

Assassins - Assassins love to act on other players/NPCS. They want to use the tools of the game to rule them.

The available categories are as follows:

Magician

Blacksmith

Hunter

The choice of categories depends on your skills in the game. For example, if your skill level in Destruction and Summoning is higher than the other skills, they will most likely classify you as a Mage, etc.

Player types, on the other hand, use a different approach. These are determined based on its operation during specific time intervals during which the algorithm collects data. Decision trees use a large number of actions as input elements and include clearing dungeons, people murdered, places found, stolen items, etc.

The algorithm runs every two hours to analyze the actions performed during the previous two hours and updates the current skills of the player category and type.

After that, the game will adapt and choose content that will satisfy players of the chosen class and type. This content comes in the form of various missions, some of which have objectives and the starting location for each mission will be at

The selection is made at runtime (when the algorithm is running) and is not predefined. These tasks are also related to the type of player. For example, if the classifier classifies you as an "assassin," you can expect to perform missions and kill multiple enemies. If you are classified as an "explorer," the tasks you will receive may include getting from point A to point B, etc.

Installation method:

Just replace the file "YourOwnSkyrim.esp" with the one provided here and you're done.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
