About this mod Machine translation
This mod adds a unique ornate Nordic style late game sword for those who want a believable and authentic looking weapon. The materials and lore used with Elderscrolls are heavily influenced by real swords from the Viking Age. Beyond Skyrim: Roscrea previews the quality you can expect.
This mod can be used as a thief, showcasing the style and quality of Roscrea items. This is just a single sword obtained through a simple fetch quest (I'm a person with asset abilities and don't usually do that in implementation, so expect better quests), but the sword is an excellent choice for the late game 1h swordsman who wants a weapon that feels more authentically Norse, rather than an abstract or crude weapon like most high-level options. This weapon is kill friendly and balanced, it's not the ultimate best sword in the game, but it's good enough to be a contender's main weapon.
While the base damage is slightly lower than the Ebony Sword, the unique "endurance" enchantment allows you to deal more raw physical damage than any other one-handed sword's base damage, but it also swings slightly faster due to its lighter mithril construction (the lightest premium sword). This can be completed with silver ingots if the player has the Daedric Smithing and Arcane Smithing perks.
NOTE: All images were taken in Skyrim Special Edition, which has better shadows and ambient occlusion by default.

The Sleeping Giant Inn in Ognar Riverwood has a book with a backstory that will provide background knowledge and a quest to find it to the right of the bar. The book can be found elsewhere, in the Blue Palace in the throne room area, at Bard College on a table near the entrance to the library area, and more. Read the book first to find something, and then read it after you find it (which is difficult, but theoretically impossible), and it may leave you with endless things to pursue.

charm
Don't worry about the enchantment, it'll do the trick! It cannot be shown in active effects because it works perk. To verify that it works, unequip the sword, move your cursor away from the sword, and look at the damage level (should be 12 without the perk). Re-equip, move your cursor away, then open it again and you'll see the damage has increased, I think it's 16. Let me know if for some reason it still doesn't work and I'll test it all before publishing. You can also equip a left-hander in your off-hand to maximize your bear's power!

According to legend, the leader of the Bear Cult of Roscray wielded a magnificent sword of mithril, gold, and garnet. Stories of enchantment vary, but most mention that it gave the demon bear its power.
During the reign of Uriel V, an imperial invasion of Roscrea took place, ending in a tenuous peace with the natives making concessions in exchange for greater autonomy. These included the surrender of the sword, a trophy in the proud emperor's palace to confirm the success of his latest wave of conquests.
However, to the people of Roscruz, this term was unacceptable and was considered symbolic castration by the chiefs who had fiercely defended the island. His reluctance to give up his arms and challenge his rule from within will certainly result from this. He mocked the term, ordering a replica, specifying that this weapon should be used in place of the real sword of his ancestor. Although it was only a forgery, crafted with such exquisite craftsmanship to bring the Empire to its knees, it could still outmatch and defeat most items in the Emperor's own armory. Mimics the original enchantment, although this ending is, by all accounts, smaller and smaller. The original weapon has not been seen since, and it is implied that it too was lost,
However, no blade could reach the Emperor. It is said that during the voyage to the mainland of Tamriel, the ship carryi …
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
