Terra Umbra

An incredible home for gamers, home to the master alteration mage. A new spell found on a corpse near Alftand allows you to lift a portion of the Dwemer ruins, including one of the ruins towers. You can then move it if you wish to move it to any part of Skyrim.



A truly unique player home is brought to you through a collaboration between Kiriavark (modeling and interior design) and IronDusk33 (scripting).

At the edge of the gap below the Alftand ruins, you can find frozen zombie bodies buried under rubble. The former mage carries two ancient tomes: Terra Umbra and Terra Penumbra.

Terra Penumbra is an expert-level transmutation spell that allows you to lift the earth beneath your feet into the sky. Crouch to lower the boulder.

Terra Umbra is a Master Level Alteration spell that allows you to raise an entire tower from the ruins themselves. If you manage to hold on to the spell long enough for the tower and island of Earth it rests on to become stable, you can use it as your new home.

If you cast Terra Umbra again while you are on the island, you can move it towards you. Casting a spell on the ground will draw you to this island. Crouching down and crouching down will lower the height of the island. Your change skill will determine how quickly you move the island.

Raising this tower from the ruins of Alftand is extremely difficult and can only be lifted by a master of alteration or a wizard with a large amount of potions. This award is worth it, however, as the tower's interior contains plenty of storage space, as well as all the workstations you'll need that can be moved to any location in Skyrim.
