Teldryn Sero

About this mod Machine translation
Hello! I've been working on a large dialogue expansion mode for DLC2 mercenary Teldryn Sero since September '18. I've created mods for other games in the past, but this is my first time involving Skyrim/Skyrim Special Edition ambitions. After a few months of trial and error, I decided to abandon modding in favor of smaller projects outside of gaming. I figured since I'd spent so much time getting into this already only for it to disappear, why not see if the community would be interested in something I already had?

Overview;
Now I love the Dragonborn DLC and think one of the best additions is Teldryn Sero as a potential follower. His extensive location-based comments separate him from other vanilla fans and make him feel even more unique and original. However, after traveling with him for a long time, everything started to feel very repetitive. My goal was to give him around 350 additional dialogue lines by sharing existing lines for his voice type from other NPCs and then reapplying them to different situations.
Some of these new situations include:
Players are sneaky (lines are quieter, softer, etc.)
The player is performing a mission (charming, mining, etc.)
Player fails or succeeds when trying to use lock
The player is a werewolf, vampire or vampire lord (when transforming, feeding, etc.)
The player is healing Teldryn, and/or their own health is low
Visit certain guild headquarters, towns, etc.
Additional Hellos, Goodbyes, Trading, Waiting, generic idles
Changes based on relationship level with the player (lovers vs. allies/friends)
new session branch

Project status;
So far, I've finished editing, compiling, and organizing 338 .wav files. Most are only slightly modified, but a bunch are brand new! I spent many, many hours splicing and merging the various lines together, so even though the actual number of files is 338, the content in these files contains assets from nearly 400 different vanilla files. There are 250 files connected to the .esp in the Creation Kit, all appropriate .fuz files. A few lines will require regenerating the .lip.fuz file because they were slightly out of sync when I tested it in the game. More than 200
The condition has been set for row . Please note that the Idles section is the most incomplete! Some idles need to be adjusted in frequency, some need to be moved to other classes/removed, and others don't have anything in place yet (outside of the base core, like Teldryn's refid, follower status, etc.). ).
in game
There is no correct script/connection to the conversation branch. Coding When the player picks a lock, heals Teldryn, or even just universal dialogue branches like "Follow me" and "Trade" still require input.
Some .wav files may need adjusting, depending on your personal preference. A small number of lines have been used many times. For example, there is a line for when Teldryn becomes impatient while waiting to perform tasks for the player, while also serving only as a potential goodbye while Teldryn is waiting for the player. If you come across a line you want to delete, edit, move, etc., move forward now! It really depends on you and where you want to go. additional details;
While Teldryn Serum - Dialogue Extension (TSDE) does not require Relationship Dialogue Overhaul (RDO) as the main file, I tried to design everything tangentially so that this mod would work with it.
I tested this mod 6 times in game and it is intended to be compatible with Oldrim and Special Edition.
This project contains some vague, but suggestive opinions, along with 1 new instance where "fuck" is used. I tried to keep everything as conscientious as possible by sticking to the vanilla structure.
Both Dragonborn and Dawnguard require TSDE.

You must always give me credit! Although this is an open project now, I don't want the work I've done to go unacknowledged. Whether this means linking back to my original post , my profile or my tumblr page, somewhere you need …
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
