Another thing to note is that after pressing Z to issue the dance command, there will be a waiting time of about 1 second before the dance starts. At this time, it is best for the protagonist to be as close to the dancing person as possible. If there are multiple people, it is best to stand in the middle of the group. Let me explain why this is because after the camera is turned on and the dance starts, the last position the first person stands is the target of the camera.
