About this mod Machine translation

Adds the fictional Kalamut dagger to the game. Start from scratch

background

The karambit (as spelled in Filipino and most Western countries[1]), kerambit (as used in both Indonesian and Malaysian variants of Malay), kurambik, karambol or karambiak (either from the Minangka language) is a small Indonesian curved claw-like knife.

The karambit is thought to have been initially weaponized among the Minangkabau people of West Sumatra [2] where, according to folklore, it was inspired by the claws of a tiger. Like most weapons in the region, it was originally an agricultural tool designed to rake roots, plant grain, and grow rice on most of the islands of Southeast Asia. (Source: Wikipedia)

Description

This Karambit is a restraint weapon, why? I have to invert the dagger nif so that when the player equips this weapon it is positioned like a real kalamut; when I do this the position of the weapon looks weird when sealed and cannot be changed in nifskope. So I made it a bound weapon instead. However, I also made a regular one that you can get from the boss.

This weapon certainly lives up to its name, has a base damage of 12, is faster than any dagger in the game, but has less range. Spell levels are spell proficiency, and this weapon is not affected by the spell perk of the bound weapon, except for spells only.

For regular weapons you can grind it as well.

To obtain this weapon, enter the cave, kill the boss and take the tome. View the map location in the image tag.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
