About this mod Machine translation
Storm of Steel is a light combat and attribute mod designed to be consistent with existing mods. Works with Ultimate Combat, Wildcat, and almost everything else. It has no shortage of features:
-New stance system based on stamina
-Offensive commitment
-Program movement
Speed - program attack speed
- Introduction
SOS is a lightweight, almost unscripted combat mod designed to be used with Ultimate Combat and Wildcat, as well as any other combat mod. It is intended to be consistent with the functionality provided by the Dodge mod and the timed blocking functionality of another combat mod. However, you can of course also run it standalone. Additionally, it will free up the .esp slot based on your settings. It features various balance modifiers, giving a lot of attributes, especially Stamina, a much-needed overhaul and introducing unique new features of its own. SOS attempts to make combat in Skyrim more tactical, skill-based, fast and difficult. It accomplishes this without making enemies into damaged sponges or demigods. Instead, it introduces new features that make combat even more exciting. Attacking now slows you down, spamming just exhausts you, and enemies now stagger and you can too. There is a whole system of postures based on endurance. Whenever you fight a boss now, you're trying to chip away at their health and stamina until you finish them off with a sweet death blow. As the game becomes more difficult rather than unfair, beating up your enemies will make more sense!
This mod encourages a whole new style of play: engage enemies, stagger them, and then execute combos. When they counterattack, you dodge or deflect, then reposition. After lowering their stance, you're going to deliver a killing blow. This mod doesn't force you to play anything different, instead it gives you the opportunity to come up with your own unique and creative playstyle in order to manage increasingly difficult battles. have fun!
1.1 Installation
Simply download or unzip via Mod Manager/MO and place all files into the Skyrim/Data folder. No further installation required, no prerequisite modules, no FNIS or Nemesis required.
- Function
Release .esp slot
Are you running any of the following mods: Mortal Enemies, Simple Stamina Management, Simple Stagger, Attack Speed Fixes, or any other mod with that functionality? You can then tick them and enjoy free .esp slots. My mod changes many of the same values as these mods, making them essentially obsolete.
offensive commitment
Whenever a weapon is swung, the character's speed is greatly reduced. This makes the kiting game more difficult for the player. Additionally, this means players can no longer be hit while floating around the battlefield. You will have to dodge, block or take hits. This means that whether or not you should attack is always a conscious decision, a gamble. Unlike regular Skyrim, launching an attack at the wrong time is dangerous and can stagger you and drop you to pieces.
mark
Whenever you hit an enemy, the Mark debuff is applied. Marking an enemy means you're always watching him. His attacks are more telegraphed (slowed down slightly), and his stamina regeneration is slowed. Tagging an enemy when he is low on health will slow his movements and stop his regeneration. Tags last 6 seconds, so you should want to hit at least once every 6 seconds.
Property changes
Stamina now regenerates much faster than in the base game. You can regenerate more stamina when out of combat, stationary, and not blocked. Essentially, blocking gives you the same stamina regeneration as the base game, which is very low. All attacks now cost stamina, depending on the weight of the weapon. This means you won't be able to spam attacks, and you'll have to move around and dodge after the attack.
Health determines how much damage your posture takes. If the player is at low or very low health, he will receive a powerful bonus to weapon and spell damage, allowing him to come back from a seemin …
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
