About this mod Machine translation

Adds new depth to magic combat by letting players adjust spell power and cost via hotkeys.

A HUD widget has also been added to visually indicate the current status.

What it does:

-------------------

The purpose of this mod is to make Skyrim's magic combat more interesting.

You can now cast spells of the desired size without having to change to other weaker/stronger spells

Ever been sneaking around in a dark dungeon and needed some light, but didn't want to get blasted for the entire minute?

You can now scale down the power and cast a candlelight spell that only lasts a few seconds.

vice versa. If you need some extra functionality, just increase the amplitude and cast something more powerful.

The general idea is that amplitude/duration and spell cost are adjusted 1:1.

So 50% power only consumes 50% of the mana, while 200% power consumes 200% of the mana.

It's simple but makes magic combat more dynamic.

How it works:

--------------------

You can change spell power by pressing hotkeys.

Whenever you press one of these hotkeys, a small icon will appear on the HUD, marked with %

Displays the current spelling range. The icon and hotkey are configurable via the MCM menu and offer a wealth of customization settings.

How the spell is affected depends on the vanilla Fortress X part of the effect.

So, for each school of magic, power/percentage scales these attributes:

Change->Duration total

Yoke->Duration

Destruction->

Unreal degree->magnitude

Restore->Magnitude

Known issues:

----------------------

But the above also means that this mod is affected by Alchemy - Enchantment Cycle/Attack

To maintain balance, it is highly recommended that you use an armor from Armor (

For example USLEEP

Mods that remove the regeneration skill from Weapon Armor will also be affected, but will also adjust the charge cost accordingly, so this maintains balance in my opinion.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
