Visual alternative to Sofia
Sophia. What can we say to her? She’s funny, brave, and….
She's certainly bigger than all of those things, and she's one of Skyrim's best and most immersive followers.
Enjoyed by thousands of people worldwide, I wanted to try and offer an alternative that retained a similar feel to her original look but was modernized for 2019. Hope you like it. Of course, this will require Sofia
I gave her a custom face, a separate body using the UNPC bodyslide preset, and a separate texture.
I don't plan on doing anything with CBBE as I don't use it, but swapping out the mesh manually is easy and I can explain the process if needed. No plugins, just meshes and textures.
(Word of warning, as I have replaced her body with a UNPC agency by Halofam, she will be naked when you first meet her)
Future plans:
There are probably no future plans as this is just a simple visual replacement.
Install:
First, install Sofia, then download my replacement using the manager of your choice and let it cover everything it asks for.
(I don't recommend you to install anything manually)
uninstall:
My module only contains loose files related to Sofia's appearance. Just uninstall with the manager of your choice.
compatibility:
Apparently this mod is incompatible with anything that edits Sofias' appearance.
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
