About this mod Machine translation
Snow Elf-themed player houses and shrines, adding the ability to return Falmer to their Snow Elf roots and repopulate Skyrim with Snow Elf. Requires all 3 DLCs plus upgrades via Dawnguard.
Find the ancient sanctuary. Restore the machine. Return the Snow Elves to Skyrim with Auri-el's Blessing.
Requires Skyrim+ update, Dawnguard, Hearthfire and Dragonborn.
Progress will require most of the Dragon's work to be completed until "Touch the Sky" (a request from Grebor to retrieve Ori El's Bow), while M'zuft opens via the Mages' Guild.
Download the mod. Unzip it using 7zip or a similar program. Pull the .esp from its data folder and place the mesh, scripts, sequences, sounds and textures folders into Skyrim's data directory. Alternatively, place the .esp, .bsa and Seq folders above. The mod comes with a readme file which contains a more thorough list of guides and information. Uninstall: Uninstall any followers (snow elves and/or orru) added by this mod, leave the area, save the game, and delete any associated files.
This mod is its first version. If you find any errors, please notify me. I've cleaned it up with TesVedit, but if you find a problem please let me know. See the complete readme file for known issues and more information.
This mod contains a large (but not maze-like) Snow Elf-themed player house, using vanilla Snow Elf buildings and assets. It has an open and airy layout with lots of greenery, fountains and natural sounds. It includes almost any display stand, crafting table and has plenty of storage space. There are 19 mannequins, countless weapon racks, plaques and display stands, tons of bookshelves and tons of custom and named storage - there's so much. For a complete list of features, see the Documentation tab for the complete readme file. Snowblind Sanctuary is compatible with Hearthfire Multiple Adoptions and can accommodate a follower and five children.
The mod also includes a quest line to repair a Dwemer device in the Sanctuary, followed by a step-by-step process of transforming a Falmer into a Snow Elves, with a Snow Elf created based on the type of Falmer captured. Snow Elf followers can then be recruited and made to live in sanctuaries or be told to wander Skyrim. All Snow Elves can be traded for at any time and will maintain their armor/weaponry, so once you equip them and send them on their way, you may find them throughout Skyrim. Also included is a recipe for creating Ancient Falmer Armor (requires Elf Smith), and a new version of the Crown that is considered Light Armor rather than Jewel in order to count towards the Light Armor perk (also available at the workbench).
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
