About this mod Machine translation
Removes color banding and smoothes the sky transition between the horizon, middle and top. It was designed with ENBSeries in mind, but it doesn't rely on it and also improves the visuals of vanilla.
Introduction
This is an old module I made in 2013 for my ENB/ELE enhanced lighting module. Thereafter, only available on my ELE thread at ENBDev.com. But I think I'll go ahead and make a mod page here as well.
Works fine without ENBSeries running, so there is no dependency on that. Because this is just an altered vanilla mesh and only requires the base game.
Function
-
Eliminated a lot of the color banding that was present in the vanilla sky - Made the transitions between sky sections smoother - Expanded the areas for the sky, horizon, middle and sky sections -
compatibility
This mod is compatible with all mods as long as the mod does not contain a money.nif file.
This is an alternative mod with a workaround for fixing skybands, but it's not officially ported to SSE yet.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
