About this mod Machine translation
Sneaky Dovahkiin's intentions.
*By using mouse buttons
Come
Slit and choke your throat * Make sure no one goes to sleep because they're afraid you'll stab them * Play peek-a-boo as you show how knives work after becoming invisible
Ominous storm clouds filled the sky, blocking out the sun. The wind blew through the branches, and the song of birds, usually absent in these woods, gave an eerie feeling of foreboding. Beneath an uprooted tree, a cat arches back and hisses, sensing a presence not from this world...
On the other side of the world - near that damn cat - a young man sat, screaming at his computer screen. After what seemed like an eternity, he finally left the password unencrypted! "People need to know...", he thought. Grabbing his jacket and turning off his computer, he headed for the door.
That's it, tomorrow is a brighter day because of it!
At the same time, I came up with the idea of Slick Sneaking™. Inspired by Sneak Tools, I set out to make a lightweight stealth rig that felt like it had always been a part of vanilla. So, no new buttons, no new "mechanics" - just make it feel natural. All you need to do is perform a normal right-hand attack and the mod will do the rest.
*Use choke/slit throat for silent kill from behind. Kills vary depending on the weapon used (sword, dagger, unarmed)
- Success is determined by level difference, detection, stealth/one-handed skills, and whether the opponent is wearing a helmet
*Surprise kill from the front when you can't see (dual wield)
- Success is determined by level difference
*Kill by stomp, stab or slash (sword, dagger, hammer, axe, unarmed)
- Success is determined by level difference
Using the mod is not difficult. The mod will "activate" the second it detects you meet the following requirements:
You sneaked away
2. You do not have spells/staff/shields equipped in your hand
3. Your right hand is equipped with one of the following one-handed weapons: sword, dagger, hammer, axe, unarmed.
Once the requirements are met, pressing the right attack button will do the rest. Possible actions are determined by the weapon equipped on the right hand
*Silent killing from behind (sword, dagger, bare hands)
- If you want the chance of success to be determined only by the level difference type "Set nlIgnoreReq to 1" in the Skyrim console
- If you want to change the level difference type in Skyrim console "set nlLevelDiff to NUMBERYOUWANT"
*Surprise kill from the front and become invisible (dual wield)
*Sleep Killing (Sword, Dagger, Mace, Axe, Unarmed)
- If you want to change the level difference type in Skyrim console "set nlLevelDiff to NUMBERYOUWANT"
I would like to express my sincere thanks to the following people:
Borgut1337, author of Sneak Tools - thank you so much for the inspiration.
NeverLost - The original mod creator who allowed me to backport the license. Check out his stuff here.
Dunc001 - Thank you for being a great guy, great modder and overall lovely lead at iEquip.
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
