About this mod Machine translation

Animals and creatures become more dangerous and challenging. Perfect for role-playing, immersion and survival.

You're going out for a hike in the woods. Suddenly, you hear a howl in the distance. It's the wolves...they've found you! Now you have to act fast if you want to survive!

If you encounter a pack of wolves in the woods, your first thought will never be: "Ah, easy fight and some free furs." Wolf packs can actually be dangerous. That being said, installing Skywild certainly doesn't make the game unplayable - just more immersive and challenging.

Most wild animals have their attributes affected, making their encounters more or less threatening to any player regardless of their level of encounter. In real life, no matter how skilled a hunter you are, you wouldn't hunt bears and elk with a sword or an ax, so it doesn't make any sense in Skyrim either. While there's nothing smart about these wild animals, they still lack defense and strategy, so keeping them at bay isn't that difficult as long as you outsmart them and don't mindlessly swipe at them. Beyond that, any large animal that would realistically knock down a human would likely knock him out. Conversely, you may not be able to knock them down.

As a rule of thumb, most animals' health is equivalent to their body weight in kilograms. You can also count on carnivores with lower health to deal more damage from attacks, and herbivores with lower health to deal less damage from attacks.

In addition to minor tweaks here and there, the animals with the most obvious changes are:

Wolf

As damage increases and health increases, wolves have ceased to shrug off the mosquitoes in the vanilla game and become an animal you want to watch out for walking in the woods. Their health is still relatively small compared to other animals, and an experienced player or hunter should be able to defeat them easily. But again, this will take some effort. If you're not careful, you might also find yourself knocked to the ground by one of the jumpers in your pack, and you're bound to be in some serious trouble. Additionally, dogs will now have similar abilities, making them truly useful.

Bear

Bears range in size from small to large, and the larger the species, the greater the danger. The Big Bear has a huge health pool and the ability to knock down opponents when raising its hind legs. Bear is anyone's spirit. A close-quarters confrontation with a bear would be dangerous for most people, especially considering how it can cause casualties while trapping the victim in the ground. However, it's worth remembering that bears are quite defensive and won't attack unless someone gets too close after being warned.

NOTE: Due to a bug in the vanilla game that was fixed by the Unofficial Skyrim Legend Edition patch, the species of Bear and Cave Bear were originally mixed together. It is recommended to install patches when using Skywild. There won't really be any technical issues without it, but it might look a little weird.

Saber Cats

A giant cat carnivore and the apex predator of Skyrim's animal kingdom. Saber cats are not to be underestimated. Just like in the vanilla game, they will sneak up on their prey silently until they take charge of the kill. With increased speed, the ability to knock down anyone they jump on, and massive attack damage, this massive predator will be one of the most dangerous creatures to watch out for while exploring Skyrim's wilderness. Hunting them is a challenging yet exciting experience for any player.

fish

With their razor-sharp teeth, butcher fish will cause great damage to anyone they encounter in the water. These were added to make Skyrim's waters more dangerous. Installed Skywild sister module

Skytoxin

Users will notice how these creatures have transformed from harmless giant bugs to some of the most dangerous creatures they may encounter while exploring Skyrim's depths and swamps. Elk

With increased size, a new defensive temperament, and strong attributes, th …

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
