About this mod Machine translation

"SkyTEST - Immersive Gi Head Shaders" is a very simple mod that adds multiple shaders that enhance immersion. Like most of my mods, it can be done without a single script! But it does it in a very fancy way, as useless as nVidia RayTracing and as immersive as PhysX! You know you want it! So come and get yer Gimmicks!

This mod took me about 20 minutes to create and about 2 hours to test the effects in game and sort out the conditions in CreationKit.

feature:

  • Wet Shader - Players and NPCs will display a soaked "wet" shader when immersed in water, and the player will also project water particles when it rains and water flows towards him. (Also applies to creatures)
  • Sweat Shader - Players and NPCs will display sweat particles when running, sprinting or PowerAttacking. The illusion of sweating and fatigue only occurs when the subject's endurance drops to equal to or below 50% of their maximum endurance. (not applicable to creatures)
  • Snow and Frost Shader - When it snows, players and NPCs will show snow accumulating inside them, and snow particles will fall from him. Sadly, it's not that noticeable since there are particles everywhere when it snows. So it's hard to spot, but it's there. (Also applies to creatures)
  • Free Scripts - No single script has been created for this mod's effects.

compatibility:

It should be compatible with everything out there, anyway these shaders will be replaced once another magic effect comes into play.

Install:

Unrar files located within the data folder within the main Skyrim folder. (I believe it should be possible to uninstall the mod from the game, but when the effects don't work, preferably internally, you may want to do that.)

uninstall:

Delete SkyTEST-iGimmickShaders.esp

That's it, this is a very simple and useless mod, but immersive.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
