Skyrim Race Records Master

Use at the end of the load sequence to reset any unintentional changes to RACE records, via random mode, back to Update.esm, Dawnguard, Dragonborn and unofficial Skyrim Legendary Edition patch values ​​so that you can compare and selectively "forward" any desired changes made by intermediate mods. For experienced TES5Edit users, it is not a MOD, but a tool.

The purpose of this is to reset any unintentional changes made to RACE records by random mods (mostly written before USLeEP) so that you can selectively compare and "forward" any desirable changes made by intermediate mods.

For experienced mod users, this is not a mod, it's a tool. Don't just add it to your load order and launch the game, or you might break something (though probably not permanently).

This is an ESP file used to load the last part of the order for use in TES5Edit, not (immediately) in your live game. It restores RACE record tweaks from Update.esm, Dawnguard, Dragonborn, and the Unofficial Skyrim Legendary Edition Patch (USLeEP), as well as some optional additional fixes.

This helps solve the problem: old mods before DLC and simple mods that don't require one or more DLCs often make one or another change to some RACE records (records in ESM and ESP files that set the characteristics and creature races of each NPC). These overrides remove any racial adjustments made by DLC, as well as any bug fixes introduced by USLeEP. And they often conflict with each other. The only way to solve this problem is to compare what everything does after loading in the established load order.

The ESP included here will include all vanilla races by default, with tweaks and new races from the official Update.esm, Dawnguard.esm, ditto for Dragonborn.esm, and fixes (among other changes) introduced by USLeEP.

However, the real prize here is the extended version, which also offers various fixes that USLeEP doesn't have.

I won't be making a separate version for an outdated series of unofficial patches, nor for any of the tens of thousands of standalone mods, except for a few that I might be using. The whole point is that your mod list is yours, which will help experienced mod users solve tricky race record shenanigans.

Basic version:

Revert changes to RACE records (and some related FLST - form ID lists) made by Update.esm, Dawnguard.esm and USLeEP, older mods tend to accidentally revert to ancient Skyrim.esm defaults (or change to stranger methods).

Directly affected, this reapplies common fixes that mods tend to mess up, such as having most females use female walks, some missing attack types, Mount Data records being empty, and the availability of various warpaints and other FaceGen resources.

That's it. It leaves many questions unanswered by USLeEP.

Resolved: Bugs in gear equipment logging, especially for crossbows; Bosmer heights that were never correct; races with incorrect or inconsistent names and descriptions; female orcs walking incorrectly; "moving model" bugs; Dawnguard vampire "plasticky gray faces" bug (caused by dirt tintmasks); and some ailments in casting and pickpocketability logging.
