Skyrace is balanced based on race lore and appearance. It makes sense that some races (some) are more powerful than others. At the same time, all races have areas where they excel and are most likely to benefit from matching races and play styles. Due to its more immersive and survival aspects, Skyrace is not aimed at the average player, but rather at those who want the most challenging and immersive experience in Skyrim.

Some races' stat regeneration abilities look powerful, especially compared to many survival games, where status stats like health don't regenerate at all without the use of healing items. However, don't think of them just by their names.

Health isn't really about physical damage, it's about resilience and how many pulses you can take before you get hit by those last few.

Stamina is not just energy for running, but also endurance and overall body shape, and many other mods increase this further.

Magicka is not just a spell that a person can cast, it represents how intelligent and patient a particular race tends to be.

All you need is Skyrim.

compatibility

Skyrace should be compatible with most mods, except other race mods. Additionally, our other module Skyswim is embedded in this module, so if you use both modules please place Skyrace later in the load order. However, you better not even need to activate Skyswim as it is actually part of this mod and therefore obsolete. Finally, if you are using a different mod called Skywild, please place Skyrace later in the load order to avoid issues.
