About this mod Machine translation
Replace the courier system with a mailbox that you can rent or buy, and include additional features such as mailing mail from a store, shipping items over long distances, and improving equipment.
I first heard it on Sundas late in the Last Seed season. I had just returned from a brief sojourn in solitude, as the roving adventures across the snow-covered plains came from behind me, a portrait of nearly thirty percent of the coldness with which I would grow all too familiar in the months that followed,
"I've been looking for you." I should offer something - your hands. "
My heartbeat quickened as I turned quickly toward the sound. Who is this figure in front of me? How did he come to predict my whereabouts before I (then a mere wanderer) even had any inclination as to my own whereabouts? Furthermore, who would hire the services of such a skilled person just to track me down? I was heartened by the thought that this con man must have been paid for the job. That's certainly more than I've seen in weeks or even months. Before I could clean myself up, he handed me a letter and walked down gently.
With my hands shaking, I broke the wax seal on the letter and slowly unfolded it, preparing myself for various things. I stole a glance and then looked. Visions of my own death, looming over figures of dark power, swept through my mind, along with fantasies of importance, fame, and wealth. However, to my surprise, what was written was nothing more than an invitation to the local Harvest's End celebration. curious...

Exit RP. Courier is a beloved feature among many Skyrim players, but I've always found that it benefits me from the experience far more than it enriches it. His strangeness about always knowing where you're going, the irritation of the forced dialogue, his once-so-endearing expression, I grew to hate. Additionally, if you have certain mods installed, the amount of letters you receive can easily induce patience.
The beginning of Skald's Mail was simple - I wanted my character to realistically receive some overwhelming mail from an earlier stage without irritating me. The job was completed quickly, so I started adding other features and assets until I was happy with the system.
Currently, the functionality is as follows. You can:-
Receive regular mail in your main mailbox--
Own (or rent) up to 5 recovery email addresses --
Send packages between owned or rented mailboxes--
Available in some stores
Ship weapons and armor for improvement -- from several in-game stores --
Email lockboxes are found all over the world. Can usually be found outside of inns and on the outside of every player house (including Hearth Houses, which will be built with the first room). Activating one will prompt you to buy or rent it (or, if it's a house mailbox for a home you own, claim it for free). Selecting one of these options will assign that mailbox as your primary mailbox. Once you have your primary mailbox, couriers will no longer send you letters*, and to get your mail you need to open your mailbox. If there are items in the mailbox, you can see the letters through the slots.
All other mail lockboxes you rent or purchase will be assigned as "recovery mailboxes" (up to 5), which will not receive regular mail, but will receive package and "mail order" mail from the player. Any secondary email address can be set as the primary email address at any time.
- Unless you have checked "Delivery Important Letters by Express" in MCM, only letters with his unique voice agent capabilities, such as Black Hand Letters or Dawnstar Museum Manuals, will be sent.

Packages can be sent between player-owned or rented mailboxes. Shipping costs depend on the distance the package travels and the weight of the package. Upon arrival, packages can be seen tied around mailboxes, indicating shipments awaiting delivery.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
