Background: Sirin Gassil (pronounced sereen gah-seel) is a northern/northern half-dark elf from the small village of Choshoal in the western region of Skyrim. The wilderness north of this divide has never been mapped due to its harsh environment, so few people are aware of its existence, and no one really knows its exact location as most have a history of being tainted by its inhabitants. Sirin's father, Tomar Sonat, was a blacksmith and metal shaper from Markarth who worked for Jarl's company for a while until rumors emerged that he had revealed wiretapped state secrets to certain dubious leaders of the prophesied revolutionary conspiracies. After fleeing the city under the cover of darkness, barely escaping Jarl's executioners, he fled north to the western border region. Whether he is guilty or not is irrelevant. Getting out of range was his only option. Upon stumbling upon the small town of Creshoal, buried in the mountains, he discovered that the local residents knew nothing of his situation, so he settled there and changed his surname to Gassil (his mother's maiden name). Here he met and married a good-looking Dunnar woman named Ayasa Gulbani, whose parents had been sold as slaves to a wealthy local for six horses and a thousand gold by a greedy merchant from Morrowind. Sirin inherited her mother's appearance and her father's Nord complexion, although she had dark hair. She has her mother's Dunmer eyes, but slightly pink instead of red, and her mother's pointy ears. But her father, who had a fair face and fair skin, found that the residents were not prejudiced against his situation, so he settled there and changed his surname to Gassil (his mother's maiden name).
