About this mod Machine translation
Just Climb (aka I Shouldn't Be Here) adds a very simple climbing technique! Press a button and your character will move up a bit and forward a bit, which requires some stamina. If you hold the button, your character will rise slightly, but with increased stamina. Best first person performance.
describe
Simply Climb (aka I Shouldn't Be Here) is a very simple mod. How it works is that you press a button (right control by default) and your character moves up a little and forward a little, but at the expense of some stamina. If there is nothing to support them, your character will fall to the ground. Holding and releasing the button further increases your character's stamina, but requires more stamina. The Light Armor skill reduces the stamina required to climb. Climbing also provides a small amount of experience for light armor. There isn't any animation, your character just floats there... It's recommended that you use this animation when in first person. The climbing keys used can be configured in the Mod Configuration menu.
Seriously, this is what we need and I have never done it in any capacity except by any Russian. For some reason, they really love parkour. So anyway, I just decided to implement it in about 50 lines of code in 3 hours. Unless you're really good at light armor, have a lot of stamina, and have the patience to hold that button down for a long time, you can't scale an entire wall with it. However, you can use it to overcome that troublesome log, house, or mountain. If you're smart and persistent, you can also get into Jarl Balgruuf's dormitory without entering the front door. Unless you really make up your mind, otherwise
You should not have burrs on the walls or ceiling. I say no, because Skyrim was not designed with roof parkour in mind at all. For example, during testing, I discovered that you could phase through a portion of the Dragon's Reach rooftop simply because there weren't any collisions there, as the developers didn't expect anyone to be scaling the Jarl's palace like some vodka-drinking maniac-man. You will also find that even with this wall, some walls cannot be scaled because their hitbox is much higher than the rendered wall... because of this.
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
