Simple mod changes some perks of light and heavy armor and blocking
Simple Armor Rebalancing (SAR) - It is a lightweight special overhaul of armor and blocking, it does not use any scripts.
Perk trees are very similar to vanilla. I reduce the defense bonus (heavy armor reduces defense by 20%, light armor reduces by 40%).
Main Features/Changes/New Perks
Heavy armor:
New perks:
Cavalry - 30% less damage taken while riding a horse (this perk is not a buffer)
Well Protected - 50% Poison Resistance
Changes:
Juggernaut now has 3 levels - 25/50/75%
Reflected Strike gives 15% chance instead of 10%
Wellfit and Heavy Match sets require 3 parts of armor.
Light armor
New perks:
Hit and Run - All weapons (including unarmed) deal 15% damage.
Changes:
Agility Defense now has 20/40/60% at Level 3
Deff movement now has level 3 10/20/35% and only works when you move or sprint
All light armor perks that require a full set now require 3 parts LA (I did this with the possibility of wearing heavy armor with a light armor set, I also increased the unarmed bonus damage of all gauntlets (only a few percent, it shouldn't be overpowered, for example daedric leggings base damage is 25 instead of 18)
Perks deff Movement, Windrunner and Strike and Run will also work with Clothed/Unarmored.
Block
New allowance:
Firebash - Torch Slam deals double damage (stacks critical slam)
Changes:
Shield wall has level 3 15/30/45%
Critical hit has level 2 5x/10x damage
Shield Charge - Now has 25% chance of knockdown instead of 100%
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
