About this mod Machine translation
Standalone custom minions with unique summoning spells and quests to make them even more powerful.
Shenmi is a standalone HD head mesh minion with custom summoning spells that summon unique new creatures. She has an unscripted quest in which you need to help her find hidden objects that her uncle has placed around Skyrim. Each new item you find for her will allow her to summon a new, more powerful creature. Just find the item and give it to her. You can start your search by getting her diary from your inventory and reading the first clue. Her diary also gives you her backstory.
When her fire cloak is active, some of her creatures actually glow! You can see it in the video. These mobs all come from my mod Volcano of Exile. If you have it installed, say yes when installing this mod to override it. The same is true if Crater of Exile is installed after Shenmi. Shared files are exactly the same. I do this so Shenmi doesn't need other mods.
Requiem version available!
Shenmi CBBE body fully supports HDT.
This file requires Dawnguard and Dragonborn, otherwise you will need CTD!
You can play this mod without a skeleton, but if you use any follower mod to manage gear, you will need a skeleton like XPMSE, or you will need CTD!
There are no task scripts, instead using a journal in her lists and notes to remind you where each item is. (These will be pasted in sticky notes so they can be copied and put into the translator.)
Shenmi can be found wandering from the Riverwood Bridge to the first Bandit Tower on the trail to Bleak Falls Barrow. At night, she'll have fun at The Sleeping Giant Inn. She starts at level 3 with her own dagger, bow, and a spell. She doesn't have any vanilla charms. She will be level with the player.
She's married and has a custom sandbox that's larger so she can roam around when you let her go.
She has many feats in summoning, light armor, and archery. She also has the "Light Feet" perk, which prevents her from detonating pressure plates.
And if you don't like that military paint, you can remove it using an optional texture file. Check the images to see her without it.
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
