At some point during the Awakening quest in the dawunard questline, you will encounter Serana's tomb in the Dimhollow Crypt.
When you activate her sarcophagus button, your hand will be impaled. However, in vanilla, this has no consequences. So I decided to add one: "Corrupted Blood Curse".
Corrupted Blood Curse is inspired by the Corruption status effect from Holy: Original Sin 2 and has a similar effect: you will no longer restore health and healing spells and items will deal damage.
For compatibility issues, when the player is a werewolf, they are also immune to the curse.
If you shrink the curse and later become a vampire or werewolf, the curse will also be removed.
If you are neither a werewolf nor a vampire when pressing the button, disease resistance is taken into account. Mathematically, the higher your resistance is, the smaller your chances are. For example, if you are 75% disease resistant, you will only be 25% disease resistant.
But it can be cured like any disease in vanilla. (Cure disease potion or pray at the shrine)

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
