About this mod Machine translation

I decided to share a series of personal edits of Requiem Overhaul.

v1.2b changes

Fixed certain high-level NPCs being completely frozen if they were randomly given loot that they could equip, causing them to try to use AI-locked items. These items have now been replaced with different loot to compensate. You can still obtain additional treasure from chests and other specific high-level NPCs.

Reduced extra HP and bite damage for all dragons. They're still better than vanilla Requiem. I completely forgot to do this and kept compensating for more gain, oops.

Removed Alduin's other resistance powers to prevent him from being killed.

v1.2 changes

Added more handcrafted enchanted items to specific NPCs with the best results.

The blacksmith will now always sell steel and corundum ingots.

Dragon resistances are set at 75% magic, poison and disease resistance.

Troll regeneration rate reduced to 1/s, but fire resistance increased (they are still vulnerable). Fire damage negates it.

Reduced the regeneration rate of Dragon Priest, Spriggan, Frost Giant and Enchanted Orb to 1/s. Appropriate elemental damage negates it.

Added a new global placement table that may appear in high-level NPCs and treasure chests. The higher level items you encounter will remove more items from the table. You might get lucky and find ebony or something cool!

v1.1 changes

Fixed Frost Trolls still having higher health regeneration.

Fixed an issue where Astrid still had magic absorption.

Increased health of Astrid, Alain and Mercer.

Reduced regeneration of Frost Giants, Magic Orbs, and Spriggans, but increased HP.

Passive Fire Cloak has been removed from the Forgemaster.

Greatly increases the health, damage and resistance of all dragons.

Renamed the injured dragon to his original name.

Conclusion

I did this mod for a week because I hate knees and felt like modding. I mostly blame this on the spiders because after a while I started getting really annoyed with them. Only available in 2.0.x

Necromancy is significantly more powerful.

Spiders are much weaker. I really hate spiders.

Poisons from enemies are more deadly, and gaining immunity is much more difficult, unless you're a vampire or an argon man.

Game hunting is a more viable career option.

Most enemies with arrow resistance will be removed.

Some enemies no longer have magic absorption.

Tana weapons were overhauled. A more satisfying reward, especially if you're an enchanter.

The knockdown effect of certain animals can be blocked!

Various artifact changes. Some are watered down, some are stripped of abilities, but their core abilities are made up for.

Smashes and double casts cost less.

Smaller undead (Dragurs and Skeletons), Dwemer structures, and playable races have reduced resistance. This should make Altmer feel more comfortable while fighting, while also making Shock and Frost magic more viable.

Skooma no longer randomly kills or paralyzes you.

Dragons are more deadly. Alduin is a jerk now.

The cupboard full of gold no longer contains any gold.

Potentially fixed issue with Forsworn not attacking Orc Hunters.

The initial purchase price of all non-fireplace houses is reduced by 1000 gold.

Requiem's "Slow Horse" setting is enabled by default.

game settings

Shield Energy Bounce requires 35 stamina (was 40)

Double casting cost multiplier is now 1.9 (was 2.0)

balance items

The Silver Hand is less likely to have Cleansing Potion; 50% (was 66%).

Coin purse no longer contains gems

allowance

The Necromancer now prevents resurrected targets from turning to ash.

The Dark Infusion perk now causes your raised minions to regenerate health slowly. 1 per second.

Miscellaneous items

The weight of all hides has decreased and the value of gold has increased! …

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
