About this mod Machine translation

This mod allows you to toggle weather using configurable hotkeys. No .esp, no script. Available to ENB preset authors who can adjust the colors and effects of each weather individually. Also great for screen searchers who want to quickly find the right weather, sky and cloud combinations for their landscape/exterior screenshot photography.

What does this MOD do?

Allows you to toggle weather using configurable hotkeys (PgUp/PgDown by default, can be changed in the [Weather.ini] file).

Can be used to switch weather comfortably: adjust/check ENB presets, screenshot photography or use the FrostFall cheat (change the temperature instantly).

114 weather switch cycles. need[

Only decompress one file in the archive with the mod index number (hexademical), as shown by Aurelia in the load order.

Technical nature of this MOD

This is a small plugin for Alexander Blade's ScriptDragon framework, based on the Weather plugin example. For those unfamiliar with ScriptDragon

Variant description

Weather switcher available for vanilla weather and other custom weather modules.

Weather Switcher - Vanilla supports any custom weather mode without adding additional weather like Natural Lighting Eco Atmosphere (NLVA), Natural Lighting and Atmosphere of ENB (NLA), Purity, etc. The Vanilla variant is an extended version of ScriptDragon's Weather plugin. It contains a list of 100 vanilla weathers, including Dawnguard and Dragonborn weathers. It doesn't require legendary versions - when you try to switch them, the extra weather will simply be passed to the next existing weather record.

Weather Switcher Full contains all weather from specific custom weather modules. Mainly used by authors of ENB presets.

Weather Switcher Screenarchery contains only some weather from specific custom weather modules, providing a faster option for screenshots or games. Very useful when you want to quickly select the best sky/cloud combination for landscape screenshots etc.

I downloaded the switch for a custom weather mod. How do I choose the appropriate .ASI file?

The Weather Switcher.asi file from a custom weather module has an index number in the file name. This hex index number corresponds to the mod index of the weather model in the plugin load order. To choose the appropriate number for your switcher .asi file, simply look in your mod manager for the number of your custom weather mode and select the WeatherSwitcher *.asi file with that number. Here is an example:

Note: Remember that only one WeatherSwitcher *.asi file must be placed in the root directory of the game, so don't forget to delete the previous one if you change the load order.

MOD REQUIREMENTS:

This mod requires one or more additional files to work properly.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
