About this mod Machine translation
I love role playing. So I'm always trying to find reasons why characters visit places.
For example, why does my mage character go to the early game dungeon "Embershard Mine"? It's a great introductory dungeon, especially for new characters in Requiem. But I had no idea this was being taken over by bandits, or that my character had just started wandering into random caves despite how dangerous the world was. So I found myself trying to justify how my character would know this. 1. It has broken down.
- It's filled with bandits, not vampires.
- Why does my character care?
Now, this is a problem that mods are looking for help solving. I'm going to add some notes to inform players of the dangers of certain locations and give them a reason to explore. So to solve the above problem, I will add a note to Alvor's home in Faendal warning him not to try to collect ore from the mines. Since it has taken over my bandits. This tells the player what to expect, and if the player is Alvor's friend, a reason to go there.
**This mod is in the early stages of development and not even interesting. Obviously it's just a comment, so adding it now won't cause problems for your game. Please note that I will keep you updated.
Currently in 9 locations; Alvor's House, Inn of the Sleeping Giant, Whiterun (behind the Banned Mare) Guard Barracks, Inn of Vilemyr, Farm of Loreius, Warmaidens, Rooms of Proventus Avenicci, Arcaneum and Rorikstead Inn.
I'm open to suggestions, but I'll try to avoid annotating external spaces to ensure comparability with many city overhauls.
Add notes around Skyrim to give players a reason to visit locations.
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
