Road Signs Fast Travel 1.1

Allows fast travel to town from waypoints.

Road sign fast travel allows you to fast travel to the sign's town or city, provided you have discovered it (for example, for regular fast travel...).

This is a small immersive game balance mod originally inspired by The Witcher 3's fast travel system. Not as tricked as Skyrim's default settings, and doesn't completely disable fast travel constraints.

In MCM you can choose to disable fast travel from the map menu, which will leave you with only carriages and fast travel road signs. This is how I feel about finding the right balance between immersion and convenience.

Solution to module conflicts:

An option in the menu allows you to disable checks for script-enforced fast travel disabling.

Disabling fast travel via script is intended for temporary use during missions, but may be used too harshly by mods that implement quick and dirty "disable fast travel" functionality.

By default, this mod blocks fast travel when disabled via script. This option allows bypassing it if desired.

If you want to disable regular fast travel from the map menu, the recommended method is to use the options provided by this mod in the MCM.

Dependencies:

Core mod is independent of SKSE/SkyUI. They are required for configuring the menu and disabling fast travel.

Sharp road signs:

Point Way's compatibility patch is available as an optional download.

Highly recommended as the 2 have great synergy.

Global load order recommendations:

Aside from the specificities of the "point to method" mentioned above, consider putting it in the load order as much as possible and letting others use the mod's work.

Hotfix:

No other patches for new world spaces or other road sign mods are currently provided.

The patch for Beyond Skyrim: Bruma should be out this weekend.

Others will have to be provided by the community.

Fixed an issue with one of the waypoints (Karthwasten is the one on the far right). Vanilla had wrong collision layer, preventing players from activating it.

Collisions have been added to the Helgen and Riverwood signs so that they can be activated.

Graphics module compatibility:

The texture replacer for road signs can be used directly without additional tinkering.

The grid replacer will apply to all flags except those that have been fixed (see the "Miscellaneous" section). In order to work properly, the mesh replacer will need to include appropriate collisions for fixed flags, otherwise it will not be available.

Install:

Use the Mod Manager, or place RoadSignsFastTravel.esp and RoadSignsFastTravel.bsa into the Data folder.
