RetroDaddy’s Treasure Hunt

Requires Hearthfires DLC

Remove all previous versions before installing!

There is an orc NPC who will sell you a diary he found while wandering around. He can be found near the Honningbrew Meadery near the bridge. The Wall Street Journal guides you to the body of an ancient Norse adventurer. On the bridge wall near the orcs you can find a note, read the note to add more content.

Once you find "Old Nord", he will have a note on his body that will give you more information. Examine his body carefully and you will find the key to the first treasure. From there, it's up to you to discover other treasures quickly.

If there is a "grid map" to refer to when looking for more hidden maps.

This is a cheat, but never easy.

NOTE: There are 3 versions of this mod.

1-No map markers

2-No fast travel

Map Marker 3 - Map marker with fast travel

(If you have Hearthfire, there is an add-on for the DLC. This will add 3 extra chests to build the location. You must find the key to the Hearth Hearth (the key can be found near the bodies of the Old Nords).

This mod adds 21 treasure chests around Tamriel. The initial treasure chest can be found south of the camp, which will provide you with a good hunting bow, arrows, fur armor to help withstand the cold, and give you some starter gold. Other chests will appear on the map when you are within a short distance of them until they are hidden. At this point, all chest locations have an approximate location given by the Old Nord's quest log.

Chests will regenerate and provide you with a large amount of gold and arrows based on your character level.

Items provided have approximately twice the original stats and can be modified at the crafting station. You will also receive recipes for making some arrows and some health potions.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
