Reforge unique levels

This mod allows you to get better versions of upgraded unique items in a lore-friendly way. With this mod, you don't have to make sure you're at the appropriate level when starting a quest, which will give you an artifact with multiple versions based on your level. Guaranteed to be anything but friendly.

Introduction

Some quest rewards are level-unique. This means that certain unique items have different versions. The game will give you one of these versions based on your character level. This can cause problems for your game because if you want to get the best version of the rewards, you have to wait to be at a specific level before starting certain missions, which can hinder the natural flow of the game. Likewise, when you get an upgraded version of your uniqueness, you will always be stuck with that item even if there is a better version.

This mod provides a solution to the problem and even provides a lore-friendly solution. When you level up to a level where you get better versions of items, it gives you access to better versions of leveled unique items. How does it work?

When you reach the appropriate level, it can "re-forge" leveled unique items in any forge to get a better version of the item.

It covers all levels of uniqueness in the game, including all DLC.

Two different modes to better suit your game type.

It adds a book, "In-Depth Tempering Research", to give you some clues that may be helpful if you choose the realistic approach.

The "recipes" for forging upgraded unique items will not be available in the forge menu unless you read the book.

When reading this book for the first time, you can choose between Easy/Testing mode and Realistic/Friendly mode.

You can change patterns simply by re-reading a book.

About "refresh"

The concept of "rearranging" is the one I use in the context of "killing". It helps me explain what the mod does and helps you understand how the mod works. This is useful to avoid misunderstandings.

In the context of "within a kill," I use the concept of "deep tempering" or "advanced tempering." It's exactly the same, and the benefit is that it makes it absolutely killer.

Detailed description

When you first install this mod, you will not be able to "reforge" any upgraded unique items. To change this, just go to the blacksmith shop "Warmaiden's" at the entrance to Whiterun. There you will find a book called "Deep Tempering Studies". Read it and a message box will pop up asking you which mode you prefer. Click on one of the modes for more details, then select one. You will always be able to change the mode.
