About this mod Machine translation
These files will protect you on certain mods. Dual Sheath Redux does not support all mods, so I made some patches for Dual Sheath to still have your modded shield on your back.
Require:
Double Sheath Redux
Optional requirements
Ethernal Oakshield by FunkyGandalfCat (this file is also his page)
C_moon Shield by ClipsyMoon
Skyrim's Shield by Delincious
Shield of Azura by RonnieMagnum
Traveler's Shield by billyro
Dark Souls - Elite Knight by Azraille
"Optional Requirements" are only required if you have the mod installed. I wouldn't turn it into one big cluster of all the files. I will be updating the mod with more patches for different mods. I do not claim these mods as mine, and I will never give credit to the legitimate authors.
Allowing authors to place files on their page, this is just a complete page for all the files I create for Dual Sheath Redux.
For now, I'll just make patches for the shield, but I'll continue with the sword modifications later if a lot is needed.
Troubleshooting these files:
There is a high chance that some Shields may not work properly. If you find a shield that is not patched correctly, please let me know and I will update the documentation to fix the issue.
Correction
- Reinstall the file and then repatch it using the Dual Sheath Redux patcher.
- Delete Dual Sheath Redux Patch.esp and then re-patch it with Dual Sheath Redux Patcher - all you have to do is delete Dual Sheath Redux Patch! Not actaul Dual Sheath Redux.esp! Deleting Patch.esp will reset the file and add the newly added mod.
- Follow all instructions @Dual Sheath Redux Mod page. - These files will work if Dual Sheath Redux is installed correctly.
Q&A
Q: How long does it take to make a patch?
A: Depends on the size of the file and how many shields/weapons are in the mod. Only use 1 separate shield for about 10-20 minutes.
Q: Can this be used with backpacks and ponchos?
A: Backpack: No - it will still sit on your back, but not on top of the bag.
Cape: Yes - the shield is on top of the cape.
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
