About this mod Machine translation

Power Attack Plus is designed to make combat more engaging and keep aggro-related enemies at lower levels. It should be compatible with other battle modes that don't change the game. USLEP and Requiem versions available.

Short version:

Adds a damage that ignores the defense of all attacks that are not blocked or defended. Blocking prevents additional damage, using the ward spell prevents additional damage. There is also a knockdown opportunity when the defender's stamina is too low. The attacker needs enough stamina to perform a takedown. If the stamina condition is met, you can be knocked down even while blocking or using a ward. These vary from race to race to avoid frequent knockdowns. These changes apply to players and most enemies in the game.

Compatible with mods that do not change the game. I checked Wildcat - Skyrim Combat and it has no conflict.

Clean with TES5Edit.

There is no script.

There is no mission script.

Install/uninstall using mod manager.

Requirements: Requirements

All DLC.

USLEEP version requires USLEEP version 3.0.15

Requiem version requires Requiem version 3.1.1

In addition, it is highly recommended to use Faster Animation

The vanilla version is free license as it is all mine and uses no external assets. Feel free to add this to your mods. All I ask for is notification and a little credibility.

Long version:

I love playing a heavyweight version of Skyrim. Regardless, lower level enemies quickly become a nuisance. How many times have you walked into a full bandit camp and just laughed while trying to keep your health below 99%? Then you kill them slowly without a worry in the world. Well not anymore! Sure, you're a dragon, but you're not supposed to be invincible on any level.

The idea came to me when two gangsters suddenly attacked me on the road. Requiem adds very advanced AI, so they come to me from the front and back, both with power attacks, and I hit the one in front, then quickly turn around to block the rear attacker. I then killed him and turned around in time to block the first bandit and kill him. It was awesome, but I knew I wasn't really in danger because my defense was so high. This mode adds the required level of danger.

What do you ask? It increases damage from defenses that cannot block unblocked/weak attacks, and may be knocked down when certain stamina requirements are met. Stronger and larger matches will deal more damage and have a greater chance of knocking you out. Of the humanoid races, Orcs deal the most damage, while Khajiit, Altmer, and Bretons deal the least. Low stamina prevents additional damage from being applied to attack power. I'll leave the details in spoiler territory. I know a lot of us love discovering new things and being surprised! I tried my best to make it feel real. For example, does it seem right that any humanoid creature could simply stop a giant dragon's bite or a giant club's swing? Sure you can mitigate the damage, but you're not going to stop that damaging ball momentum with your shield or ward spell.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
