Create a playable ghost race focused on bound weapons.
Playable ghost races
describe:
To create a playable ghost race, I aimed to focus on using bound weapons. Players start with unique versions of the Bind Sword and Bind Bow spells. These spells have a low cost to cast, last indefinitely until overturned, and take advantage of the novice's magic bonus. Racial abilities give you 25% resistance to magic, complete resistance to disease, and action silence. If you decide to play as a mage and want an ice theme like the rest of the undead, I'm also giving this game a chance to get frostbite instantly.
This game is based on the Britons because they are my favorite game. Any cosmetic modifications that apply to the default Breton race should also apply to that race.
Skill buffs for this race are:
Transformation 10
Hallucination 5
Charming 5
Archery 5
One hand 5
stealth 5
Known issues:
If you have a solution to any of these problems we would be grateful.
Spectral effects sometimes don't work with first-person hands. However, if you use a mod like "Immersive First Person" it does work on your body.
Certain weather effects can permanently destroy the visual effects of ghosting. This is a bug of the game, not the mod. To fix it, you need to remove the Spirit Body spell in the console and then add it back. Open the console using a tilde ("~") and type help "Spirit Body" 4 to get the spell ID, followed by player.removespell ID and then player.addspell ID.
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
