About this mod Machine translation
Wielding the sword of Oriel himself! The perfect weapon for the warrior of the Nine Gods.
Deep in the Forgotten Valley lies a secret that the world has long forgotten...
Not long ago, a fierce battle took place above Nien. The missing god Lohan clashes with Trinamac, The Paragon and Auriel, the Dragon of Time. Although it was Trinamac's fist and Oriel's bow that dealt the final blow to the pair, another artifact emerged that day. For Oriel loosened his arrows as much as he could; but when Lorkhan was upon him, he raised his shield and brandished his sword. It is said that the two gods swung and slapped their swords so violently that they carved out the unfinished landscape of Nien.
After Lorkhan was sunk, Auriel threw his sword into the new world that took shape beneath him: even though Larkhan had betrayed him, he was still his brother, and the sight of his blood glistening on the blade was too much for the dragon god.
The sword fell in a huge frozen valley. There, its powerful energy attracted the ancient Falmer. The wisest among them soon learned the origin of the blade. The ancient Falmer regarded it as a symbol, dedicated it to the Holy Sword, and built the Great Chapel of Auri-El in honor of their favorite god.
For many centuries, sword blades were as important as bows and arrows and shields. It is an unquenchable flame, a source of pride and hope for Oriel's admirers.
But everything changes when Chef Virthur falls victim to a vampire curse. In his blind fear and despair, he had no reason. He immediately joined him in slaughtering the priests in the chapel before attempting to take up the Sword of Aurel. It was only at the last moment that Prelate Mellenor held his breath, raised the barrier around Auriel's sword, and tied it to Vyrthur's life force, thus freeing the blade from the mad chef's hands forever.
Unable to serve the purpose of the blade, Vyrthur attempted to kill it, so he tore the floor around the blade, carrying the frame and blade deep into the temple. Prelate Mellenor's final act is said to have removed the aura that Falmer didn't know had blanketed the entire valley. The betrayers, no longer aware of the fire guarding the Guard, invaded.
Therefore, the knowledge about Auriel's sword has been superseded by history. The only people who knew about it were Arch-Curate Vyrthur and his brother Knight-Palagin Gelebor. But I dare not say...
statistics:
Type: One-handed sword
Base damage: 15, 6 fatal
Weight: 15
Arrival: 1.0
Speed: 1.0
improve:
Pirhelios can be improved with 1 Silver Bar and 1 Quicksilver Bar on the Grindstone. It benefits from the Ebony Smithing perk, which doubles the improvements.
Enchantment:
Pirelli's basic enchantment deals 20 fire damage per attack. However, due to materials and origins, Pirhelios also deals extra damage to all things evil: undead, werewolves, daedra, you name it. Since this is an innate property of the blade and not an enchantment, the additional damage continues even after the charge is spent.
renew:
-ver. 1.1: Hopefully fixed an issue where the sword appeared in the king's palace instead of its intended location.
-ver. 1.2: Added support for dual-sheath Redux.
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
