About this mod Machine translation

Show your friends, followers and animal companions some love!

This is a revamp of my older mod. It adds dialogue options for certain actors for players to pet. This depends on the actor's voice type, for example if they use one of the canine (dog, wolf, death hound, fox, husky) voice types, or if their relationship level with the player is 2 (Friends) or higher.

Some things I changed from the original mod is that I removed the racial modifications from the cows and removed some responses from the NPCs.

I can confirm that this mod works best with dialogue-enabled mob followers or mob subraces, such as Vanilla Dogs/Huskies, Dovahbear, Killer Rabbit, and Mihail's House Cat. The cats in said mod technically use the Skeever voice type, and will hiss or sniff your hand curiously when you try to pet them.

I can also confirm that this mod does not seem to interfere with Convenient Horses in my game, you can still love the horse as long as you stand in front of it.

Known issues:

They don't always stand still when you pet your non-partner.

Personally, I just want to tweak this mod and move it to this account, so I'm not really interested in developing updates. Also, I lost the script source for this mod.

If anyone has problems installing this module, please try installing it manually.

To install manually, download and open the archive using WinRAR and extract the data folder to the following location:

C:\ Program Files(x86)\ Steam \ steamapps \ common \ Skyrim

Enable the plugin using your mod manager of choice Wrye Bash for example.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
