About this mod Machine translation
Adds a balanced, masterful restorative spell inspired by the Harry Potter spell of the same name. No, this is not what deer are familiar with...
This MOD is currently in: BETA
And requirements: DAWNGUARD, UPDATE
Short description::
This mod adds a balanced master level summon to the Restoration School that is invulnerable, projectiles and spells invisible, deals zero damage, and gives all but the strongest undead a large radius. This spell should be available once you've recovered to level 65 (although it uses the primary recovery skill)
background:
I've always thought HP's Patron Spirit was cool and unique, and I've been looking for a mod that would add something similar to Skyrim, but to no avail. Then I realized that a mod that would stay true to the spirit of the original might not be that hard to make myself (wrong, but anyway lol), so I decided to give it a try. This is my first mod anywhere, although I've been downloading and using mods for 10 years. I hope I can achieve the same quality we all want from the great modders on this site.
Most of the summons in this game are pretty generic: you call creatures that are usually enemies to assist you in combat. While they offer a variety of ways to deal with and take damage, that's all they have to do. I wanted to try to use the HP sponsorship as a guide and create some differences that would still be well balanced.
detail:
Let's say you're traveling through Dustman's Grotto with Farkas in the "Companions" questline. It's dark and you've made a few calls, but you're nearing the end and can see a clip of Wuuthrad on the table. Suddenly, the Draugr began pouring their ancient weapons from every dark crevice imaginable. Farkas is separated at the other end of the hall and fights valiantly six men at a time, but you just notice him falling while every obstacle in the basement turns its attention to you. You have struggled with several people and are almost overwhelmed. You dig deep and, with your last bit of willpower, project your sense of hope into an ethereal being, rushing through the undead ranks and sending them into chaos. It jumps to farkas, protecting him from further attacks as you defeat the evil army. Slowly, hope returns to both of you as you regroup and escape through the chaos. This is the way I want you guys to get rid of this mod.

First, the patron is immune to all damage, but crucially does not deal any damage. On the contrary, it has a very powerful turning immortal effect and has some healing effects.
The undead effect raises all undead within a 40-foot radius to level 45, including lvl 45. This covers all draugrs, but the 3 higher level bosses may be higher, except for the two highest vampire levels. All Dragon Priests are level 50 or above, and therefore too powerful for patrons. Careful consideration was given to maintaining the spirit of the source material. I think the spell should be very powerful, but very powerful dark creatures should be able to resist the effect.
The healing effect is very modest for a normal spell, healing all neutral and allied creatures at 5hp/s within a 40ft radius. I wanted to add some effects that simulate the restoration of hope and will you should feel when customers arrive, but I didn't want it to be a healing spell in itself.
balance:
I thought long and hard about how to balance that spell. Initially, I wanted it to be expert level, but upon further research into the vanilla repair spell, I realized it needed to be master level. With this in mind, there are only two main restoration spells to balance out. The Circle of Guardians and the Bane of the Undead.
From my perspective, Bane of the Undead is the ultimate Offensive Master Spell, allowing you to turn low-level undead to ash, and all but the top enemies to ash, making it easier for you to deal with them. Guardian Circle is the ultimate healing spell that can restore you nearly 2000 hp over the duration with the right perks and give you a safe p …
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
