Introduction

Patrician ENB is designed for the latest ENB binary v0.389, utilizing a full color palette to produce sharp and clear images.

This ENB preset will take advantage of all the effects the ENB series has to offer, hopefully satisfying gamers and screen archers alike.

By using subtle adaptation technology, Patrician ENB delivers beautiful and immersive exteriors and interiors.

Lighting has been carefully considered, resulting in stunning ambient lighting and seamless LOD mixing.

The goal of ENB is to provide a more intimate atmosphere by highlighting characters and objects, rather than burying them beneath the filter.

Patrician ENB's design is clear and precise. Any adverse textures or visual effects will be exposed, so it is highly recommended that you build your game using the models listed below for best results. This page will guide you through the requirements and suggestions for the best visual experience that will exceed your expectations for Skyrim in 2019.

Require

To get the best results, you first need a good weather system.

This is a difficult ask since this ENB is designed to trigger corresponding effects and climates.

Naturally lit vivid atmosphere (NLVA)

Step 1) Install Vivid Weathers v1.56

During installation, I recommend keeping the volume fog on.

Enables star and galaxy textures and extended rain sounds.

Don't select any patches, they are not required.

Once done, deactivate/hide "Vivid Weathers.esp"

Note: When installing Vivid Weathers you can choose the texture size, 512, 1K or 2K. The 512 is already very good and will provide excellent performance while still delivering full results. 1K is a good balance between visual effects and performance (recommended). 2K is the best visual effect.

Step 2) Install Natural Lighting Vivid Atmospherics v2.0

The NLVA weather mod will cover several Vivid Weathers assets. Don't worry, this is normal.

Natural lighting Vivid Atmospherics.esp will control Vivid Weathers and NLVA weather.

This completes the weather section.

You now have the best weather model ever, using just one plugin and your preferred texture resolution!

Lighting is a more difficult choice. Patrician's designs are clear and atmospheric, while still focusing on performance and minimizing visual errors. After testing and considering between Realistic Lighting Overhaul for ENB, Enhanced Lighting and FX, Relighting Skyrim and Enhanced Lighting, it was decided that the combination of Relighting Skyrim and Enhanced Lighting for ENB would provide the ideal lighting characteristics and lighting placement. This combination is scriptless and does not introduce any new meshes, making this setup very lightweight and easier to manage in terms of compatibility with other mods in the load order. Additionally, this combination doesn't suffer from major FPS drops or flickering that can be seen in other lighting modes.
